Getting to Castlehead Field Studies Centre

As this is a rented site please do not phone or visit the venue before the day the course begins. 

The site is 1 mile from Grange-over-Sands railway station, and 10 miles (16km) from M6 (Junction 36).

Public transport
TRAINS:
There is a train station at Grange over Sands which is a few minutes` by taxi or bus (see below) from the Centre. If you need us to fetch you from the train station, please call 07581013003 (preferably ringing rather than texting) when you arrive at Grange-over-Sands and we will aim to co-ordinate this.

BUSES:
Catch the X6 that travels between Kendal and Barrow in Furness and get off in Lindale. If you are catching the bus from Grange-over-Sands railway station you need to catch it going to Kendal. Ask the bus driver to let you off in Lindale, mention you are going to Castlehead so you can be dropped in the most convenient place. The stop in Lindale (just outside Grange-Over-Sands) is 5 minutes walk from the end of the Castlehead driveway. NB. There are two similarly named destinations (Lindal-in-Furness and Lyngarth, Lindale) mentioned on the timetable - do not get off at these stops.

The centre is 10 miles (16km) from M6 (Junction 36).
Some Sat-navs may experience difficulty near Castlehead, so it is advisable to print a map of the area as well.
